My all-time favorite, right here. Don’t judge me. I’m a HUGE weather geek at heart. All through childhood, my dream job was to be a meteorologist and/or a storm chaser.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I have a slight infatuation with that Dodge Ram, too. It breaks my heart when (spoiler alert) the twister takes it.

What’s your favorite movie? And why?

Twister was a good movie, and I shed a single tear when the Ram was taken by the tornado.

It’s difficult for me to pick a favorite movie, so I’ll list a few of my favorites:

The Matrix

Speed Racer

Tron: Legacy

Star Trek I/II/IV

I, Robot

The Incredibles

Cars

Toy Story 1/2/3 (The first was my favorite movie as a kid)

The Room

The Bourne Identity...really the entire 3 part series. I’ve seen Identity at least 50 times. Whenever TBS, TNT or whoever has it on I’ll tune in and enjoy it every time. Great car chase, great fight scenes...just an all around solid film.

Amazing movie, for sure. I'm hype for the new one.

I’m totally hyped for the new one...but WTF is up with the manual Charger in the trailer? It’s funny what we are willing to suspend our disbelief for when it comes to a movie and a little detail like that we go “Oh no, that’s BS!”

I don’t mind a bad movie like twister...and it wasn’t even that bad it was just formulaic. I can’t say I have a favorite but I do have a few I watch over and over (in no order)

1. Blazing Saddles - if you don’t think this movie is funny...its your fault not the movie’s

2. Hunt for Red October - i just like it...yeah I know Sean Connery makes a lousy [Lithuanian born] Russian

3. Young Frankenstein - see #1 above (would you like a roll in the hay?)

4. Endurance/Kon Tiki (original)- Damn good stories and so very watchable. Also maybe touching the void for an epic visual retelling of a difficult story to retell

5. Alien/Aliens - The first one is a case study in suspense, the 2nd one is how us vs the monster movies should all be like.

Young Frankenstein was funny in the beginning, but sort of droned on from there.

Feel free to give me crap for this, mainly because it is still a fairly new movie and my fondness for it will probably fade over time, but Mad Max: Fury Road blew my mind when I saw it and instantly became my favorite. It has basically lived in my Blu-Ray player for the last 6 months. The style and action is top notch, but more than that they somehow managed to make a movie that is really just a 2 hour car chase into something deeper than just a car chase.

Yeah, amazing what you could get away with in a PG rated movie back in the 80's.

Kinja'd!!!

My 16 year old daughter and I watched it a few weeks ago, as it was a free, On Demand movie. Wow, I forgot it had so man drug and sex references in it. Oh, and a few random titty shots for good measure as well. Whoops, better not tell mom we were watching that movie, or I’d be in trouble with the wife, again.

I can’t pick 1 favorite, so I’ll just list some favorites that come to mind...

The original Star Wars Trilogy, Dark Knight Rises Trilogy, The Matrix, The Big Lebowski, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Almost Famous, Road to Perdition, Interstellar, the 1982 version of The Thing, Jurassic Park, Skyfall (pretty much all of the Daniel Craig Bond films are great),and the guilty pleasures - Top Gun, Gone in 60 Seconds.

I’m a little late to this post, but when I was a kid, I was obsessed with anything that spun. So, naturally, I was intrigued by tornadoes and had the same career aspirations. Twister was also my favorite movie for a long time. It’s still a really good movie!

The original tag line for Twister was going to be “it sucks” but they figured it would be an opportunity for cheap shots from critics. Off the top of my head my favorite movie has to be Jurassic Park on rewatch value alone. I’ve seen it at least ten times and every time it’s as awe-inspiring, intense, and exciting as the last. Great performances (even from the kid actors), amazing visual and special effects, and a wonderful John Williams score.
